Fancy working with H&S in the US?

Hello! We’re Hide&Seek. You may know us from such projects as the best ever iOS game about opera (www.theshowmustgo.com), or when we staged a 12,000 player game in the streets of Edinburgh on New Year’s Day (www.thenewyeargames.com). Or that time we fixed Monopoly, Clue, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuits by adding poker and zombies and divorce (www.boardgameremixkit.com). There’s other stuff, too, which you can read about on www.hideandseek.net

We’re currently looking to increase our freelance roster in the US. If you think you might be a good fit, then please get in touch. We’re particularly looking for three kinds of people:

- Game Designers. Particularly those who have experience beyond digital game design. H&S’s work draws heavily on digital games, but we love working with people who’ve got a good grounding in other types of game – pervasive, board, table-top, card, locational, various combinations of the above.

- Developers. Most of our projects are web or smart-phone based at present, and we’re always glad to know people who like meddling with other technologies. We have some Arduino and Kinect based projects on the go at the moment, and have just had a crazy idea about modded pachinko machines we might need some help with.

- Event/project managers. Because a lot of what we do has real world components, we need ruthless, inventive and practical people who can help get real things done. If juggling photo-shoots with stunt-cats and devising snow-day plans for a whole city and wrestling budgets that have things like safety goggles and hot air balloons in them sounds like your kind of thing, then great.

If any of those sound like you, then please drop margaret@hideandseek.net a line. Please include:

- a CV of some sort. Doesn’t have to be fancy

- a couple of lines on why you’re interested in working with H&S

- some info about your availability and location/ability to travel

Are you at GDC or SXSW? So are we! Let us know if you’d like to meet at either event, and we’ll see if it’s possible to set a time to say hello. Don’t worry if you’re not, or if we can’t find a suitable slot – we’re happy to do things over email/Skype.
